GMES Fundraiser Cancellation Letter

Dear Valued Supporter:
The Board of Directors of Gamma Mu Educational Services, Inc. has been
continuously monitoring the situation with regard to the COVID-19 virus.
As the conditions, warnings and mandates continue to escalate and out of
an abundance of caution for our supporters, patrons and members, we have
decided to cancel the upcoming fundraising golf tournament scheduled for
May 2, 2020, at Grayhawk Golf Club. This was a difficult decision
knowing the impact that it will have on our ability to maintain our
programming and support for young people of our community. We did
consider a postponement; however, given the uncertainly still facing us
over the coming months we decided cancellation was the most prudent
Our thanks to the sponsors and supporters who have already made
contributions or pledged financial support for the 2020 fundraiser. The
annual fundraising golf tournament is the singular major “fundraising
event’ of the year for GMES. While the event itself is cancelled, the
programs that are supported by the funding continue, and in some cases
become even more critical. We continue to gratefully appreciate any
financial support you are able to provide.
We will communicate further over the coming months with updates on our
programs and other opportunities to donate or support Gamma Mu
Educational Services, Inc. In the meantime, we encourage everyone to
conduct themselves with great care and abide by guidance being provided
from the CDC and local authorities.
